Llegamos a San Francisco.
Today we've been touring along the Wine Country. We left Fort Bragg this morning and entered the Mendocino Valley where we spotted the first wine plants, as well as seclided beaches and snall rock pools. We also saw some more redwoods and wild birds (Valdemar knows their names :). As we passed later on the Sonoma Valley we had to slow down, since there was a triatlon competition going on ... But it did not matter. We enjoyed watching all the bicycles, as well! We continued to the Napa Valley, which is the heart of California's wine industry. There we strolled through charming St Helena, the Beverly Hills of Napa and we tried to visit Spring Valley Wineries, the location where the 80's famous TV show Falcon Crest was shot. Unfortunately, all visitors must be at least 21 and, as we are travelling with our kids, we were not allowed to book a wine tasting tour. So the only thing I could do is to have a picture taken at the entrance :(
We had lunch in Napa at the Oxbow Public Market. Its a little bit pricey, but the organic ice-cream at the Three Twins parlor was excellent. I got myself a waffle with blackberry sorbet and rice milk, banana and blueberry ice-cream.
After lunch, we headed for San Francisco. The traffic was heavy and there were jams several places, but finally we reached our destination. Wow, SF is fascinating! I am afraid that two days are not gonna be enough ... There is so much to see! Therefore, we have started our stay in SF with the socalled 49-mile scenic drive, a route that links the city's most intriguin neighborhoods, fascinating sights and spectacular views. It's functioned as an appetizer ... Tomorrow we'll go deep into the hidden treasures this city has to offer
Ana
