Philadelphia

After arriving in New York after a 7-hour flight from Copenhaguen, we spent the night at a hotel there. We came very late in the night due to the fact that our airplane was delayed more than 4 hours.

Then, after sleeping some hours, we drove to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and passed throu New York state and New Jersey state. When we arrived to the hotel, we inmediately went to the city center to see the historical part of the city.

At first, we visited the Liberty Bell, very famous because it was rung when the United States proclamated their independence from The United Kingdom; therefore, it is considered an international symbol for freedom. Later, we saw the Portrait Gallery in the Second Bank of the US, where we saw portraits of revolutionary people.

Then, we went to eat lunch at a burmese restaurant, where we ate chicken and rice served with coconut sauce. After this, we visited the first congress in the US, wich is divided into the senate and the house of representatives; the first one has 2 persons per state and the second one has an amount of representatives determined by population. While we was seeing that, it began to rain alot, so we got wet. Neveterless, the temperature was fine, so we got dry fastly.

Finally, we saw the Benjamin Franklin museum, full of inventions he had made (such as the lightning rod, the swim fins, the glass harmonica, the bifocal eyeglasses, etc). He excelled in many areas like physics, diplomacy, writing, politics, printing... also, he was very humorous and social that made him a very good diplomat.

At last, we bought some food to diner and we returned back to the hotel, where we can see a famous bridge crossing the Delaware river.
